Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas said on Monday that the Rising Rajasthan initiative has created a conducive and investment-friendly environment in the state. He directed officials to make coordinated and effective efforts to take the maximum number of investment MoUs to the ground-breaking stage by Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas on December 10, in line with Chief Minister’s vision.

The Chief Secretary was addressing a review meeting at the Government Secretariat to assess the progress and implementation of MoUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit.

During the meeting, officials briefed him on the status of pending cases related to various departments. Srinivas directed officials to ensure their speedy and time-bound disposal and instructed that proposals and files related to investment projects be submitted without delay.

He also stressed the need for continuous coordination with concerned District Collectors so that hurdles in project implementation can be resolved on priority. He particularly emphasised accelerating progress in matters related to the Energy and Revenue Departments.

The Chief Secretary further directed officials to accord priority to land-related matters. He said that issues concerning the identification and allotment of land should be resolved at the earliest to prevent unnecessary delays and accelerate the implementation of investment proposals.

During the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries, Shri Shikhar Agrawal, presented a department-wise update on the progress of investment proposals. He said that proposals involving investments of more than Rs 35 lakh crore under Rising Rajasthan are currently at various stages of implementation. Of these, investment proposals worth more than Rs 8 lakh crore have already reached the ground-breaking stage.

Agrawal directed officials to ensure that cases requiring approvals are processed without unnecessary delays. He said that where approval is not feasible, an immediate decision should be taken rather than keeping the cases pending. Officials were instructed to ensure time-bound disposal of all pending matters.

The meeting also reviewed department-wise targets and progress achieved so far. Officials were directed to regularly monitor investment proposals and expedite necessary action to meet the prescribed targets.

Senior officials from various departments attended the meeting, while concerned District Collectors participated through video conference.
