Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the objective of the Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyaan is to strengthen the spirit of public service, social commitment and good governance, disseminate information about welfare schemes and public services, and ensure the active participation of farmers, women and youth.
The Chief Minister chaired a high-level meeting on the campaign on Tuesday and directed departments to work in close coordination to effectively implement campaign activities. He emphasised connecting the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries with government schemes and services and ensuring that information reaches the last mile.
‘Seva Setu Abhiyaan’ Extended Till September 28
The Chief Minister directed that the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyaan’ being conducted in rural and urban areas be extended by three days. With this extension, the campaign will now continue across the State till September 28.
He said the camps are aimed at making Central and State Government schemes and citizen services accessible at the local level. Arrangements will be made at these camps for providing information about schemes, beneficiary registration, distribution of benefits, delivery of citizen services, and disposal of pending cases and grievances.
Strict Directions to Ensure Essential Services
In view of the upcoming festive season, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure there is no negligence in providing basic facilities such as roads, healthcare, electricity and drinking water.
He directed the Medical and Health Department to make necessary preparations for the prevention and treatment of seasonal diseases and ensure adequate availability of medicines and other essential resources. He said strict action should be taken against concerned medical officers and personnel if any negligence is found in the delivery of healthcare services.
Rajasthan Leads Country in Online Pledge Forms
The meeting was informed that 383 blood donation camps have been organised across the State under the campaign, resulting in the collection of more than 15,000 units of blood. More than 37,000 online pledge forms have also been submitted in Rajasthan, the highest number in the country.
Under the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme, around 30 lakh families participated by lighting lamps. Under the ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat–Chitraseva’ programme, 17,730 programmes have been organised, with participation from more than 13.40 lakh students and participants.
Under the Seva Setu Abhiyaan, more than 2.25 lakh people have participated in 660 camps, while more than 18.55 lakh participants have taken part in 20,406 programmes organised so far under the ‘Namo Seva–Ankahi Kahaniyan’ programme.
12 Major Programmes Being Organised
It is noteworthy that 12 major programmes and activities are being organised across the State under the Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyaan. These include ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’, blood donation camps, ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat–Chitraseva’, ‘Namo Seva–Ankahi Kahaniyan’, ‘Aangan Milan Seva’, ‘Seva Ki Kahani’, ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra’, ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, ‘Seva Setu Abhiyaan’, ‘Seva Ke Rang–Rashtra Ke Sang’, ‘Seva First Innovation Challenge’ and ‘Sushasan Seva Samvad’.
Roads, Cleanliness and Power Supply to Be Strengthened Before Diwali
The Chief Minister directed the Public Works Department to undertake quality repairs of roads before Diwali. He also directed the Local Self Government Department to ensure improved cleanliness in cities and make necessary arrangements for the convenience of the public.
The Energy Department was directed to ensure an uninterrupted and smooth power supply across the State during the festive season.
Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas, along with Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries of the concerned departments and other senior officers, attended the meeting.
