Director of the International Monetary Fund’s South Asia Regional Training and Technical Assistance Center (IMF-SARTTAC), Shri Harald Finger, paid a courtesy call on Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas on Monday.
During the meeting, discussions were held on public investment management, improving investment efficiency and various aspects of public investment in the State. The two also deliberated on GST reforms, the SNA-SPARSH system and the digitisation of the State Treasury.
They exchanged views on making public financial management more effective, transparent and technology-driven, while also enhancing efficiency in the planning and implementation of public investment projects.
Special Secretary, Finance (Budget), Smt. Shivangi Swarnkar, and SARTTAC’s Resident Public Financial Management Advisor, Shri Stephen Turnbull, were also present on the occasion.
