The month-long ‘Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyan’, being conducted across the state from September 17 to October 17, aims to strengthen public service, good governance and citizen participation. The campaign covers 12 flagship activities and has so far witnessed the participation of more than 1.37 crore citizens.
Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday to assess the campaign’s progress and implementation. He reviewed departmental achievements, field-level activities and the delivery of welfare benefits to eligible beneficiaries.
Daily Monitoring and Timely Redressal
The Chief Secretary directed departments to conduct daily reviews, submit real-time progress reports, undertake audio-visual documentation and ensure verification at the district level. Departments were also asked to document ‘Success Stories’ and use local media for wider publicity.
He emphasized that the benefits of government schemes should reach the last mile in a time-bound manner. Pending grievances received during rural service camps should be resolved on priority, while effective coordination among departments should be maintained for close monitoring.
He further directed officials to ensure the prompt disposal of applications and grievances received during the campaign and to strengthen field-level implementation.
Senior officials briefed the Chief Secretary on the campaign’s progress and the roadmap for the coming days.
The meeting was attended by State Coordinator and ACS, Water Resources Shri Abhay Kumar, ACS, Higher and Technical Education Shri Kuldeep Ranka, ACS, Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Praveen Gupta, ACS, Urban Development Shri Alok Gupta, and ACS, School Education Shri Rajesh Kumar Yadav, along with Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of concerned departments. Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors also joined the meeting through video conference.
