Rajasthan to Host Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyan from September 17 to October 17

A meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas was held at the Secretariat on Saturday to review the progress of key schemes being implemented in the state, the action plan for the Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyan and other important issues. The concerned departments were directed to make all necessary preparations for the successful implementation of the campaign and ensure maximum public participation.

Statewide campaign from September 17 to October 17

With the objective of strengthening public participation towards the goals of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and reinforcing the spirit of public service, social responsibility and good governance, the Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyan will be conducted across Rajasthan from September 17 to October 17, 2026.

Various programmes dedicated to public service and community participation will be organised across the state during the campaign.

The campaign will include blood donation camps, painting, speech and essay competitions in educational institutions, screenings of inspirational videos, felicitation of ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers, student rallies, voluntary labour and community activities, public service camps, rangoli displays and programmes promoting innovation.

Intensive vaccination and surveillance to prevent Lumpy Skin Disease

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed officials to ensure 100 per cent vaccination, isolation and extensive public awareness campaigns to prevent Lumpy Skin Disease. He also directed officials to continuously monitor the situation in the districts and take immediate action as required.

Dr. Naveena B., Commissioner of Animal Husbandry, Government of India, briefed the meeting on the spread of the disease and measures being undertaken for its prevention and control in the country and the state. She stressed the need for special attention to stray animals and gaushalas and called for effective efforts towards achieving 100 per cent vaccination.

Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department, Shri Vikas Sitaram Bhale, said that animal fairs have been prohibited in the state as a preventive and control measure. He added that, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Central Government, animal attendants would conduct door-to-door surveys of livestock.

Farmer Registry and other schemes reviewed

Principal Secretary, Revenue, Shri T. Ravikant, briefed the meeting on the progress of the Farmer Registry in the state. He directed all District Collectors to regularly review the progress and ensure achievement of the prescribed targets.

The Chief Secretary also issued necessary directions regarding worker engagement and payments under the VB-G RAM G Scheme. He reviewed the progress of Rajeevika and directed the concerned officials to take necessary action regarding cluster identification and other important issues.

Administrative Secretaries and senior officials of the concerned departments attended the meeting, while District Collectors joined through video conferencing.
