Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas exercised his franchise at 9 AM on Friday during the urban local body elections at the polling booth located at Government Seth Anandi Lal Poddar Badhir Senior Secondary School, JLN Marg, Trimurti Circle.
After casting his vote, the Chief Secretary appealed to citizens to come forward and exercise their right to vote fearlessly and in large numbers. He said that voting is an important right as well as a responsibility of every citizen in a democracy and urged people to actively participate in the electoral process.
The Chief Secretary also inspected the arrangements at the polling centre and took information from election officials regarding the voting process and polling percentage.
