₹57.41 Crore for 30 Agricultural Mandis

Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma has approved proposals worth ₹57.41 crore for various development works aimed at strengthening infrastructure in 30 Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) across Rajasthan. The approved works include construction of mandi yards, electrical works, construction of approach roads and repair of damaged roads.

Following the approval, development works will be undertaken at the Agricultural Produce Market Committees in Bajju, Nokha, Khajuwala and Sri Dungargarh in Bikaner; Palsana and Sikar; Jaisalmer; Pratapgarh; Mandawari and Mahwa in Dausa; Baran; Nahargarh and Samrania in Baran; Uniara and Niwai in Tonk; Sadulpur in Churu; Bijaynagar in Beawar; Ridmalsar and Gharsana in Sri Ganganagar; Kapasan in Chittorgarh; Didwana; Bhinmal; Madanganj-Kishangarh; Degana; Kaman in Deeg; Nagaur; Anaj Mandi Udaipur; Chaumahla in Jhalawar; Anaj Mandi Kota; and Sangaria in Hanumangarh.

These development works will expand basic infrastructure facilities for farmers and traders at the mandis and give a boost to agricultural marketing activities.

The construction of mandi yards and electrical works will further strengthen essential facilities for farmers and traders. At the same time, construction of approach roads connecting the mandis and repair of damaged roads will make it easier for farmers from rural areas to transport their agricultural produce to the markets.

Improved connectivity and infrastructure are expected to facilitate the arrival of agricultural produce at the mandis, make it easier for farmers to sell their produce and contribute to an increase in mandi revenue.
